We’re excited to finally reveal Hunter: The Reckoning - Deathwish, a new first-person action RPG set in the iconic World of Darkness™ universe. Announced during the Xbox Partner Showcase, the game takes players to a dark version of New York City where monsters walk among us and a new generation of Hunters rises to fight back. Hunter: The Reckoning - Deathwish will launch in summer 2027 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
Step Into the World of Darkness
Set in the iconic World of Darkness™ universe, Hunter: The Reckoning - Deathwish takes players to a darker side of New York City, where supernatural forces operate in secret. Vampires, werewolves and other creatures hide among ordinary people who have no idea what truly exists in the shadows.
Players take on the role of a Hunter, a human who has discovered the terrifying truth about the monsters controlling our world and decides to fight back.
Become a Hunter
Hunter: The Reckoning - Deathwish is a story-driven single-player experience focused on exploration, player choice and intense combat. Players will create their own Hunter and explore New York at their own pace while uncovering clues, side stories and secrets that may help them survive encounters with powerful supernatural enemies.
Every hunt requires preparation. Players can approach missions using brute force, stealth or careful planning, using a wide range of ranged and melee weapons to take down the creatures that threaten humanity.
Hunt Together
During the story, players become part of a cell of Hunters and work alongside several companions, each with their own personality, background and motivations. These allies support the player during hunts, and relationships with them can grow over time, opening the door to deeper character interactions and even romance.
Choices Matter
Decisions made during missions and dialogue shape how the story unfolds. Relationships can change, events may play out differently and the player’s actions can attract unwanted attention from law enforcement.
Because Hunters have one mission:
to stand between monsters and the innocent.
