At its core, Deathwish is about discovering that the world is not what it seems. Set in a modern-day New York, the game puts players in the role of someone who uncovers a hidden reality filled with monsters - and is forced to make a choice.
“You are in the real world - New York, so real city - and the whole thing is that you’ve been living in a lie.”
That moment of realization leads to a turning point where players must decide whether to fight back or remain prey.
“Some situations in the story lead you to a point of no return, where you need to pick up the fight and become the hunter or be prey.”
This idea defines what it means to be a Hunter. The game focuses on grounded characters, meaningful choices, and a constant sense of danger. It’s not about power - it’s about survival, awareness, and the consequences of every decision.
We’re building Deathwish as a first-person, semi-open RPG experience with strong player agency. Whether through combat, stealth, or dialogue, players can approach situations in different ways and shape their own story.
By combining narrative depth, systemic gameplay, and the atmosphere of the World of Darkness, Hunter: The Reckoning - Deathwish is our take on a modern, choice-driven RPG - where stepping into the unknown comes at a cost.
